The Irvine business center needed a complete overhaul of its pathways, which had become worn out and dilapidated over time. The clients approached us with a request to replace the old pathways with new ones made of ipe wood, which they admired for its original and faded colors. They were looking for a long-lasting solution that would require minimal maintenance in the future. We started the 4,500-square-foot project by demolishing the old pathways and installing new ipe boards. We built three different pathways. The ipe wood used for the pathways was carefully selected for its durability and resistance to weather, fungus, decay, rot, mildew, moisture, termites, and splinters.
In addition to the pathways, we constructed a pergola made entirely of ipe wood. The pergola not only added beauty to the business center but also provided a shaded area where people could sit and relax during hot, sunny days. When it comes to building commercial decks and structures with ipe wood, it is essential to have the correct materials and expertise, given the wood’s density and hardness. At LA Decks, we pride ourselves on having over 20 years of experience in building high-quality ipe decks that are built to last.
