Our clients chose 5/4×6 ipe, a natural wood that boasts of a rich range of hues and is resistant to environmental threats like fungus, decay, mold, and splintering.
The durability of ipe and its reputation for requiring minimal maintenance played significant roles in their decision-making process. To maintain the deck’s natural allure, we return annually to apply a fresh coat of oil, ensuring its vibrant color remains intact. Although ipe, like many natural woods, gradually transforms into a silver-gray hue over time when exposed to sunlight, our clients prefer its original charm, hence the need for ongoing maintenance.
